Can you explain how this happened in Fantastic Four (2005 film)?

superheroes are a hard concept to grasp for me as well. They definitely defy basic physics and biology in every way possible. I don't think him being able to stretch his features would necessarily change his entire face. I think they added that scene mainly for a laugh without thinking or something because you would have to be a shape-shifter type hero, not an elastic type.
