When is an active bond generally vacated?

Wondering at which stage in criminal trial procedings are bonds vacated or completed? Is it at the sentencing or plea entry? If a sentencing is continued to a later date by the DA and the defendant is on bond, does it automatically continue the bond? If the said defendant is taken into custody for a probation violation and given a bond, if posted while awaiting sentencing, does it say to release the defendant if the bond was exhonorated or continued till sentancing?
