Can rawhide be given as food?

My gsd 2 months doesnt have dog food. he likes milk, and yogurt rice. I once bought a chicken flavoured rawhide choostix. He loves it. the protein content in it is 60%. I know that it is only a food supplement but can I give the choostix alone as his food rather than giving him milk?
