Maggot-like thing with black head and pointy tail?

my friend got bitten by a little bug that looked like a maggot, and it had a black area by its head, and a pointy-ish tail thing that was slightly curving upwards. it was fatter in the middle than the head and tail. it pinched when it bit her, and she wants to know what it was ASAP.
