I'm confused about custody rights.?

She prolly doesnt want you two to break up and have a nasty custody battle. She also may want her grandchild's parents to commit to each other (not that you arent now, but legally speaking) to make sure the baby has a stable life. No offense, this is prolly what she means. Hope i helepd :)
